A Heavenly time was had by all...
This past week Craig, Nicole, Steve and I went to Lake Tahoe. We went skiing at Kirkwood and Heavenly. You would think after all these years I would know not to take Craig's advise and go on the chair lift he suggests. But no, so off we went up "Cornise Express". Of course it was a black diamond run, and steep, but at least it was groomed. I only fell once, not bad. The snow was pretty good considering it is a pretty low snow year, so when you fell it wasn't too hard. As much as I hate the cold, I find it odd that I like to ski. It was a warm 28 degrees up at the top of Heavenly on Thursday. I hate wearing hats, they drive me nuts so I just wear an ear band. I was pretty warm skiing but the chair lift ride was pretty cold and sometimes windy. I try not to embarrass Steve too much, but once when we were in the lift line I just fell over, my skis crossed or something. He just keeps going and I'm the old lady trying to get her big lard butt off the ground. Some young snowboarder came along and felt sorry for me and helped me up. I was laughing the whole time. Steve just waits for me at the front of the lift line.
Nicole was a good sport and put up with skiing with the "in-laws". Craig skied one or two runs with us then went off to find the steep stuff. We had a great time and the weather was sunny and warm at Lake Tahoe, if you call 37 warm. We do hope for more snow for the next time we go at the end of February.

Beautiful pictures Linda. I am impressed that an old grandma like you still likes to ski...especially black diamond runs...you are soooo brave!!!!
What a fun person you are !! I wish I was more active !! But chicken comes to mind when I think of doing anything like that !!Let's just say you deserve to look as good as you do !!
Linda, once again you are my HERO! You go girl!!
You didn't stop by for dinner! I'm not feeling the love!
I only went skiing one time and I didn't make it off of bunny hill. The snow was icey and hard so every time I fell, I swear I got some huge bruises. I've never wanted to go again! You, however, will be skiing when you are a great-grandma!!
